Week One | Two Cultures
Growing up, I fell guilty of stereotyping a strong distinction between the world of art and the world of science– I shared the opinion that C.P. Snow proposes in “Two Cultures and the Scientific Revolution” which argues that literary intellectuals and scientists have “a curious distorted image of each other” and will never be able to share a “common ground” (Snow 4). Being raised in a household where both parents were in STEM-related fields, I was unconsciously pushed into science and was certain of pursuing the long career path to become a radiologist.
